I am a versatile photographer; I like to be adaptable, and I particularly enjoy product and portraiture. I think this keeps my ideas fresh and allows me to expand on my skills. I have a variety of skills that consists of creativity, open-minded, confident, informed, attention to detail, advocacy and empathetic. Currently, my preference is working in the studio as I enjoy being in control of the lighting and the environment of the studio is peaceful and relaxing in order for me to concentrate as you can see within my images.
On my 10th birthday, my dad gave me a point and shoot camera as a present. I loved it. I would go around anywhere and take photographs of anything in sight. Unfortunately, one day my camera got stollen and I didn't look back into photography until I was 14. My uncle is a wedding and portraiture photographer and he wanted me to model for him for his portfolio. I was so interested in the camera work rather than the modelling itself so he gave me a few books to read and to see if I would be interested in photography again. At age 16 I needed to chose what my next steps are for the following year. It was either, six-form, college or apprenticeship. I decided to go to college and study photography as I wasn't 100% sure what I wanted to do when I grew up. I went to study at Milton Keynes college (Bletchley) for my Level 3 which then I found my true passion for photography. I had a lot of fun learning different ways to manipulate an image. A year went pass and I needed to figure out what my next steps are again. I didn't get sold the idea of going to university so I decided to stay in my comfort zone by staying at college and focusing on the HNC/D photography. HNC/D was the course that made me realise my passion for portraiture and product studio photography. I loved the idea of being in control of everything around you to create a perfect image. Decisions needed to be made again and I decided to go to university to complete my degree. I studied top up photography at the university of Northampton.
